Book Club

We had another meeting of Samantha's Book Club last night. We discussed the book they just finished which was Island of the Blue Dolphins. The girls also presented their projects which included a drawing of the heroine, Karana, and dressing up as an indian girl. They all said they enjoyed the book! Our club only has 4 members so far but we are hoping it will grow. The next book we are set to read is Anne of Green Gables. The girls will have a month to read it. When we meet again in May we are going to watch the movie!

Fun at Ainsley's

Ashley has a very good friend named Ainsley. They both attend Kindermusik and Veritas together. Ainsley's mom also invites Ashley over occasionally so that they can do school together and have a little play date. Ashley went over last week and the girls made Resurrection Rolls. Check out Karla's blog here: http://ainsleysmom.blogspot.com/ to view the photo spread.

Easter Egg Hunt

Today was our churches first ever easter egg hunt. Tyler didn't go because he spent the night at a friend's house but Jeff and I took the girls. It was really nice. Besides the hunt there were crafts for the kids, refreshments, and games. The girls got a ton of eggs. The funniest part was when the adults joined in on Bunny, Bunny, Hop which is the Easter variation of Duck, Duck, Goose. A picture of Jeff hopping around the circle is posted below.

The dog is gonna live...for now

Chloe's tumor was benign. We had to suffer through a couple of weeks with a bandage on her leg. A bandage that she refused to leave alone. Finally I got out the old e-collar we had used for Lucy. I cut it down to beagle size and taped it up with duct tape. She didn't like it but at least her wound healed up without further problems. She is fine now and back to her old cat chasing ways.

March Field Trip

In March we went on a field trip with the co-op we have been attending. The field trip was to FunQuest in Collierville for rollerskating. The 2 older kids have been skating only a couple of times so they were all novices. They all did well and had lots of fun. Here are a couple of pictures:
